An expert has been defined somewhat cynically (but not altogether inaccurately) as someone who comes to your place, borrows your watch, tells you what time it is – and keeps the watch!

Knowing and understanding what your problem is, it seems to me, is the most important prerequisite in prescribing a remedy. Thus, I prefer the workshop format because it can be focused on the specific needs of your enterprise, so that solutions are to your problems, rather than some pre-packaged, one-size-fits-all, panacea.
